Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom: the tripartite force in the pursuit of Divine Access

A little school pupil was excited after the teacher told him that what happened when the Israelites passed the Red Sea was the ebbing of the sea and not that God divided the Red Sea for them to pass on dry land - that the sea was ankle deep when they passed. The child rejoiced the more. What looked as non-sense (of a child’s thinking) to the teacher later made sense. When the child was asked of his sudden excitement, he said that this same ankle-deep sea swallowed the Egyptians and their big horses and chariots of war. Then that was even a bigger miracle. It takes hours for water to ebb. The boy’s sense or the teacher’s non-sense or the other way round! In his reasoning, the pupil created sense out of his supposed non-sense.

In the Greek dictionary access means literally, “a leading or bringing into the presence of.” Access here is associated with the thought of freedom to enter through the assistant or favor of another
