They found themselves in a power struggle between Lord Kraven Darkholm, a powerful wizard descended from the sorceress Morgana le Fay, and Lord Bryan MoonDrake, the Gil-Gamesh of Avalon. The people of this magical isle have been protected for centuries by the Gil-Gamesh, a descendant of Sir Percival Peredyr, the last Knight of the Round Table and Knight Eternal of Avalon. But who is Lord MoonDrake, and how does he know so much about Stephanie and her children? Now, it’s a race against time as the Gil-Gamesh must protect Stephanie and her children to return them to the outside world. Forever Avalon is the first book in the series written by the author Mark Piggott and it will take you on a journey beyond this world with magical creatures on a magical island.
The story has an amazing start, which starts with a mysteries and attention-grabbing dream and once you read it you will know that you have picked the right book that's going to be adventurous.
The story is filled with a fascinating adventure to a magical island that is shielded from the outside world for 3,000 years frozen in time and space. The book contains from Kings to knights, from magical creatures like elves to dragons, from wizards to dwarves, from adventure to mystery, from action to drama, from suspense to truth the book is a captivating and addictive storyline.
The highlight of the book is definitely the storyline, as its a series and after you have finished reading this, immediately you will find yourself eager to read the 2nd book. Also, the story is very imaginative.
The author Mark Piggott has written the story with care any minor details, a truly descriptive book. It's easy to read as the book is written in lucid language. All the characters are well portrayed and likable.
Overall a truly adventures series that will take you on a magical journey 0f mysteries island with drawfs and dragons.
While I was intrigued by this book, trying something new, I'm not a fan of medieval time based stories, King Arthur/Merlin amongst the least favourites. Even if they have a twist for modern day.
From what I read (I DNF at 50%), it was well written and very intense in terms of plot and character development.
There was a richly built world, filled with a variety of details, which I'm guessing is accurate in comparison to other Arthurian legends?
Piggots work will be perfect for historical fantasy readers. I'm just sad I'm not one of them.
Giving 3* simply because I liked the concept/inclusion of the Sci-fi Air Ship names, and Air Ship battling goblins! And other fantasy type elements, goblins, magic, dragons, elves etc.

Forever Avalon by Mark Pickett is a sci-fi redo on King Arthur and Camelot while a woman and her three children or commemorating a year since she lost her husband a storm rushes in and the next thing she knows she is on the beach with her children looking at a fierce warrior call Gilgamesh and he is fighting 10 foot tall trolls in their owner biscotti who he just save the woman and her children from. When the fight is over she is surprised to see it is her husband and the story he tells of how he became Gilgamesh is astounding but not as astounding as the New World they learn to live in or fight to stay in rather. This is a great book that can only be written by someone with an awesome imagination and great storytelling capabilities. If you love alternate universe stories with magical realism and all the great things Syfy has to offer such as fairies wizards trolls dragons ET see then you’ll definitely love forever Avalon high certainly dead it was way better than I thought it was going to be a definite five star read. I want to thank voracious readers only for my free art copy via The author please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

Forever Avalon is a creative blend of fantasy, history, and adventure. The story follows Stephanie Drake and her children after a storm leaves them stranded on the mystical island of Avalon. What I really enjoyed was how the author brought Arthurian legends to life in a modern way complete with wizards, knights, elves, and dragons. The tension between Lord Kraven Darkholm and Lord Bryan MoonDrake kept me hooked, and the mystery surrounding how MoonDrake is connected to Stephanie’s family added an extra layer of intrigue.
It felt like stepping into a timeless world, rich with magic and danger. If you enjoy fantasy stories that weave myths with family survival and adventure, this book is definitely worth reading.
Mark Piggott imagination is boundless, this book is truly amazing only that it’s under science fiction but really it’s a fantasy, not that it matters much because it’s greatness.
And I was searching for a Science Fiction book, luckily for me this absolutely wonderful Fantasy book mistakenly came under Science Fiction and none are more happy for that mistake than myself.
Beautiful narration by Traci Odom for each of the characters in this creation.
I’m spellbound, Without a doubt got my absolute Recommendations !!!
It’s a fast-paced and fun fantasy story with a great mix of action, magic, and mystery. The setting is magical, the characters are interesting, and the adventure keeps you turning the pages.
If you love stories about knights, wizards, and magical lands, this book is a great choice!
An absolutely phenomenal read that perfectly marries the genres of Steampunk and High Fantasy in a way that feels new and comfortably familiar at the same time. Never a dull moment through the entire book, even during scenes of calm. Can't recommend enough for fans of Steampunk and Fantasy alike, and can't wait to get my hands on the 2nd book.
So much has been written on the topic, who knew a great novel like this could expound on the original story so well?! I really enjoyed this new story. I recommend this book to any of the fans of the story.
I love mythical books and this one tops them all! It was so good! The plot was unique and the characters were relateable. I had a hard time putting it down!
Twelve months after her husband disappeared at sea, Stephanie and their three children set of on a chartered boat trip off the coast of Bermuda to pay their respects at the spot he was last located. After a terrible storm they are left shipwrecked on an island and things go from bad to worse when they soon find out they are now in another world… On a mythical island called Avalon. A medieval time, which is ruled by the descendants of King Arthur.
Considered outlanders that can be punished by death, Stephanie and her children, Ashley, Rose and Hunter soon find themselves pursued by bounty hunters, but when the Gil-Gamesh steps in to rescue them the adventure as just begun.
I found myself lost in this novel and before I knew it I was almost at the end. A fantasy story that the author's imagination goes into full overdrive, that makes this book enchanting and addictive. A very intriguing story, that references every mythical and magical being you can think of and any missing I hope to find in book two. I was swept along into the adventure and colourful characters. I enjoyed the whole magical experience of the book.
