A sort of classic yaoi manga recommended by a friend. It has all the best tropes in it. Completely enjoyable. A nice quick read.

This is what I call a light switch romance. The main story revolves around a student council president trying to harass this guy into being his vice president. The cat and mouse game continues until the poor mouse suddenly has a flick of the light switch and is interested in the pursuer.

While this was a fun story I still have trouble reading manga panels in the right order.

Also the characters felt a bit too much like caricatures but that may well be that graphic novels depend more heavily on cultural "common ground"/stereotypes than text only works. Since I didn't have a deep background, the pace felt too manic and the actions of the characters' actions and reactions often seemed unmotivated.

I've tried manga before but have never really "loved" any stories that I've read.

I'm guessing that as one gets acclimated to this genre, many of those issues recede.

Though I have definitely steered away from school-based yaoi, this is better than many other such titles. There is the trademark angst, and the two main characters are dynamic, no doubt about it. Recommended to hard yaoi fans running out of options, and to those who really like the school titles.

ugh, yaoi may not be my genre if it's all like this! simpering, worrisome, squirrely, spineless boys. jumpy images that blur the plotline and trivialize disturbing issues. and all "love scenes" are sexual assault? if i have to read "i am falling in love..." one more time. oh lord! boooooo.

Vol 1-2. End. I didn't hate it. There is a lot that is going on in each page and I don't always like that. Orito and ryuya are a little weird. Orito is the pushy seme and ryuya is mostly in denial the whole time.
The Art is just ok to me.

Story and art are ok, better than most yaoi titles out there.
The submissive role of Ryuya is a bit overblown (no one is THAT timid and indecisive.)
The bonus stories are good though.
