For me the designs were a bit hit and miss. Some were quite good, like the sun god or the heraldic eagle, and others I just didn't like, such as the plate stand or the geometric designs. But that is my opinion and everyone is different. A lot of the designs could just as well be used as marquetry patterns. I found this book for £2 at a discount book store and for this price it is well worth getting. Otherwise, unless there is a particular project you like the look of, I would suggest there are better books on Intarsia available.
