The title itself is instructive. G. K. Chesterton captures the spirit of "romance" in his introduction to Orthodoxy, where he says he wishes" ,,, to set forth my faith particularly answering this double spiritual need for that mixture of the familiar and the unfamiliar which Christendom has rightly named romance."
This book has been amazingly formative for my life and my understanding of and relationship with God. Fr. Rogers' simple prose lays out complex concepts in a clear manner that gives clarity of thought about Christianity. At the same time, grasping these concepts lead to great emotional response.
