Imperfect Divine by D.N. Leo is the last book in the Shade of Mind series and I think the best. You don't have to read the other three books to read this but the series is good so you will want to! This continues with Ciaran and Madeline as they make their way to the Daimon Gate to another universe/dimension. The sci-fi/fantasy is in full force in this novel. Lots of supernatural good stuff, sci-fi whammys, fantasy like it should me, and romance! I have enjoyed this series. It ended well and answered many questions, many mysteries solved. Great series. I received this book for a honest review and it in no way effected my rating or review content. I am glad I was chosen because I might not have picked up this great series! Thanks!

This is the culmination of the first part of the interwoven Multiverse series. Do yourself a favor and start at Book One. Without any background this is a heck of a good yarn but references will be confusing if you aren't familiar with the previous novels. (In fact, the first SEVEN volumes--series one and two, is out now in a boxed set--RECOMMENDED.)

Stop reading here if you are unfamiliar with the story to avoid potential spoilers. We are involved in nearly non-stop action as the pace picks up and secrets are revealed. A being from Madeline's past* wreaks havoc and Jennifer's attempt to regain Ciaran for herself catapults past events into the future. *Actually we learn a LOT about Madeline that had earlier not been revealed.

Ably read by Catherine Edwards, the well-modulated narration (AUDIO) adds impact and urgency to the story while caressing the poignant moments.

Well Worth The Read


I don’t know how much I can rave about Ms. Leo but she totally rocks this series called “A Shade of Mind”. The series consist at this time of the review 4 books that contain a storyline that you don’t want to put down. To help you understand that she currently has 2 other series that entwine the character so you don’t run out of reading material I do suggest that you read them in order to keep you on the correct story path.
You will continue to read about Ciaran, Madeline, Tadgh, Jo and be formally introduced to Zach who is a minor character from Maddie and Jo’s past. Zach now comes to the forefront of the story as he becomes a major player. Change has also come Tadgh and he will now have a special place in Eudzai.

Wow what an ending! This has been a well written series that will have you on the edge of your seat, filled with action, adventure, twists & turns & romance! The characters have grown as the series progressed as have their relationships and I have admit to growing fond of them and this world the author has devised! A series I would definitely recommend!

They face incredible odds as they go through it and into Eudaiz, a whole new universe that they are to rule if they could pass through the gate. Will they be able to get through the gate? So this one starts bad for the group but ends up good. Everything in between left me breathless with on the edge of my seat anticipation. It did not disappoint. I have grown fond of these characters and have enjoyed their stories immensely.

Ok so this is book 4 (final) in this series and seriously every single one has been better than the one before it. The characters get deeper and deeper, the plot thickens and certain points get resolved but others crop up as problematic time and again and oh my goodness this series is just the best.

A great ending to the Shade of Mind series. Again the author takes us on a wildride with lots of plot twists. Our characters all learn more about themselves and the ability to work together as a team. I highly recommend this amazing series.

This series ROCKED from start to finish. Excitement on every page! Wonderful characters that you couldn't help but love and cry and laugh with. An awesome series you will enjoy from the first book to the last and a great ending! This author once again knocked my socks off! I can't wait to see how the next series kicks off and who is next on the line up to be added to the Multiverse or what twist this author will incorporate next. It's so much fun and as I said in the first review, controlled chaos.

I read this entire series in a short period of time since I received them as a box set from the author in return for a honest review.

The group will finally get to attempt to make it through the gate into Eudaiz. Believe that there will be more challenges, kidnappings, and returns from the dead. The writing continues to improve and I will now continue on with the Mindscapes series to find out what is next. I suggest you do the same.

This is a wonderful book!! It is the 4th book in the Shade of Mind series. If you love science fiction with a twist of the paranormal, this is the book and series for you!! You must read this series in order so before you get this book get the other 3. This is also a story about love of friends and family.
