Most unlikeable main character ever. He has absolutely no control over his emotions, and that as a policeman. He vents by destroying things. At one point, He throws his third (!) alarm clock this year against the wall waking up. He also kicks trash cans and throws pencils at his colleague at work. Absolutely immature.
I got to page 86 and then gave up. I listened to the audiobook otherwise I would've stopped way earlier. The main character is a jerk. Even though he is cheating on his wife who he doesn't live with anymore, he suspects her of cheating on him when they both meet. We hear some story about a woman who, guess what , also cheated oh but only once, on her boyfriend who's overseas in the army. She even got pregnant from the one night stand but aborted the baby, which I don't really care about but the cheating is just annoying. She was also constantly thinking about sex. The main male character has anger issues and also drinking problems. When he met up with his wife and saw her standing there with a younger man, he instantly thought it was her lover even though it was her and his(the main male character's) son's classroom teacher! The two of them have an adolescent son together, yet this dumbo Mike (main male character) has the maturity of a 12 year old schoolboy. And of course one of the only things he noticed about his wife was her big boobs, butt and skinny fingers?! I'm seriously suspicious if it's the author, because writing characters like this is a choice
