About the authors:


Laura A. Chappell is a former Product Manager and Educational/Technical Liaison for Novell, Inc. She is both a CNI and CNE. She is the author of Novell's Guide to NetWare LAN Analysis and co-author of Novell's Guide to Multiprotocol Internetworking.



Brad Dayley, CNE, is a software engineer on Novell's Critical Problem Resolution Team. He has more than 14 years' experience troubleshooting Novell products, and has resolved literally thousands of critical server issues. He is the co-creator of the advanced debugging course used to train Novell's support engineers.


Rich Jensen, CNE, is a software engineer on Novell's Critical Problem Resolution Team. He has more than 14 years' experience troubleshooting Novell products, and has resolved literally thousands of critical server issues. He is the co-creator of the advanced debugging course used to train Novell's support engineers.


Peter Rybaczyk earned his B.S. degree in physics from the University of Missouri in St. Louis and, as an undergraduate, received an National Science Foundation (NSF) research fellowship to study energy distributions in molecular collisions. In 1979, he started to work as a programmer, and later a network administrator and technical manager for a publishing house, Summit University Press. He first became involved with networks in 1986 and has designed and installed numerous local-area networks (LANs) and wide-area networks (WANs). Since 1990, he's been an internetworking consultant for his privately held firm PME Enterprises. His clients include law firms, car dealerships, retail and wholesale distributors, health-care providers, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
