This book was amazing. The amount of imagination put inside to write is huge.

I don't understand the 2 reviewers who gave such low ratings so the overall rating is only 2,5*. I hope my 5* will help improve the average grade :)

Another great freebie that I decided to read based on the great cover.

The action is very slow paced and interwoven with dreams that we don't know why Thia has them until much later in the book when this gets explained (or who the people from the dream are).

Everyone is trying to kill her there deep under the earth in the caves and the unnatural old shapes of the city that isn't supposed to be there. Strange glowing fungus, water that isn't water, strange species and special atmosphere of darkness, danger and loneliness accompanies her all the time.

There are the pale ones - vampiric people who want to eat her, plant people who want to kill her so she would come back and live eternally like them in their form, a human settlement with it's inhabitants so long under that the new generations have been born this way and have never seen the sun or sky... and so much more.

It seems that the only friend Thia has is the ex human and now half monster from whom she desperately tries to escape the first half of the book, until realizing he really tries to protect her and the dangers he warned were really there around every possible corner.

I don't want to reveal more, you will have to read it for yourself.

It surely is a great adventure and I loved the happy ending that I never truly expected.

Intriguing, I read it all in

One day just to see what happened... Lots pf reviews mentioned a dark adult alice in wonderland. But what it really reminded me of was Goddess Inanna's decent into the underworld.. A classic.... Sumerian? Myth if I am not mistaken. It was a wonderful story, as is this one.

this book is like a twisted Alice in wonderland, with a side of journey to the center of the earth! A grand adventure! a must read. has some sexual content. I recommend for over the age of 18.
