When Frank Herschel discovers a crashed car in the Canadian wilderness, police suspect him of staging the accident to cover up a murder. Frank soon becomes a target himself. He is shot at, then narrowly escapes death when his car is forced off the road. Planted evidence implicates him in murder, and he flees to his hometown in Maine. There he seeks the help of his half-brother, Sam, an ex-cop. Police eventually drop charges, but Frank is obsessed with finding answers. He finds them all too soon, placing his life and the lives of others in deadly danger. About the Author Russell Stagg was born in England and grew up in Toronto. He has had several freelance journalist, research scientist, teacher, hospital chaplain, and planetarium director. He currently teaches college and lives in Southern Alberta, close to the Rocky Mountains where he hikes. Russell is widowed and has two children, three stepchildren, and six grandchildren.
