Great place to start if you're deliberating on which business structure is right for you. If you're sure an LLC is the way to go, then Form Your Own Limited Liability Company, also from Nolo, is an even better resource that includes downloadable forms.

Some good information and the examples the book gives help with understanding the legalese that only lawyers get.

Having almost no knowledge of LLCs and how they compare to other business entities, I found this book extremely helpful. It really demonstrated the different ways in which entities are taxed and treated by the federal government.
One drawback for me was the failure to address different types of businesses and the presumption of LLC members providing goods/services. I would have found it particularly helpful to specifically address the role of LLCs (and the taxation) in real estate investment, particularly those types that go on Schedule E on a tax return.

It is a good book with tips and explanation of the difference between LLC and other business formats. It wasn't exactly a book for me, but I learnt few things that will definitely help me out in the future. Nono's books in general are always educative and helpful. If you have a law questions, you always should start to look for your answers at their publications.

I learned a few things I didn't know in this great overview of the Limited Liability Company (LLC). There's a big push throughout for Nolo's other books that tend to interlock and overlap on the general subject.

The first 10 pages were very informative. I haven't had time to get past them, but I already feel more informed after reading them.

Oooo now we're getting somewhere. Quick and LLC in the title. It covered several of the aspects we're most concerned about: protecting our assets and the tax stuff.

Easy to understand this general overview. Glad I picked it up. Need more reading on the subject. But I feel like this explains it well without making it overwhelming. Definitely 5 stars!
