I grew up on a farm. No kidding. I did...complete with cattle, chickens, a passel of kids, and rows of vegetables. So, when I wasn't dodging siblings, feeding animals, or pulling weeds, I was hiding away in my bedroom with a book.

With maturity came love and marriage, and a real understanding of why my parents kept their bedroom door locked. *wink*
Now, I've turned a love of books into a sensual journey through the steamy world of erotic romance. Or is that romantic erotica? Well, one thing's for certain, the heroes and heroines have a great time as they fall in love.

As I live my dream by bringing the characters in my mind to life on the printed page, I want to thank my wonderful husband for his inspiration, support and patience, but most of all for letting me hog the computer!

I honestly don't know where to start with this one. This review will have spoilers there is no way around it. If you don't want to know a serious one stop reading now just know that this is a VERY emotional book.

There are so many different emotions going on with this story so I will just go with the basics. Justin returns home to not only realize that life went on with out him but so did everybody else after YEARS of being MIA. His emotional turmoil was truly heartbreaking. You really did get an understanding as to how that must feel. Erica feels so guilty that she didn't wait I think it was 12 years Justin was gone, while I understand that guilt I don't feel it is warranted 12 years is a long time. My truly heartbreaking moment in this book, was the night Clint left because he new it was his time, because of his health issues. I have not cried that hard since reading The Reluctant Dom. While this story is not as long as others I feel the author did a truly fantastic job with this story. I have loved other books by her but this one will always be my favorite. This story gave me an emotional cleansing.

I liked this in spite of how incredibly emotionally manipulative it felt with all the melodrama (one of the heroes even stares up into the sky once and asks "Why?" with tears streaming down his face), and in spite of the fact that the authors headhop from almost paragraph to paragraph, sometimes between all three leads. But the reactions felt real, the characterizations surprisingly solid, and aspects of the world-building tangibly visceral.

Wonderful love story that packs an emotional punch. A menage that does not end as a menage. I haven't read anything that is this tight and emotional in a very long time.
