The drawings are beautiful and the story keeps you on your toes, but at the same time it can feel extremely artificial in some instances. Well, I guess you can expect that of a shoujo. [Also, if you love your bishies, that's another pro).
I keep giving all of the volumes 3 stars instead of 4 just because I feel the characters tend towards extremes. I wish there was a bit more balance. Everyone in this manhwa seems to have a super twisted past and I also am not vibing with this whole affair of how every man, no matter how spectacular, falls of Jay when they meet her. We are repeatedly told she is average and normal, and perhaps her initial connection with J makes sense, in a "this is a romantic comic so I'll accept this much" kind of way. But all these strong men who keep fawning over a girl like that... it's just repetitive. I want characters who feel neutral towards the heroine, is that too much to ask?
Seriously Jay!!! I thought she was finally learning to stand up for herself. Also, she needs to find herself men who are less possessive and more likely to think "if she's happy I'm happy", rather than "if I can't have her no one can!!"
This is my first ever manhwa and good lord, this reads like your typical overdramatic cliche Korean drama. The main couple just can't get a damn break. I do like it and I must say the flow of the story was executed quite well. I love the ending.
(Coming from a manga reader, there's a little bit of adjustment reading from right to left. My eyes always tend to go and read the words on the left side first.)
I'm slightly disappointed by this manga. I guess that goes to show you not to go in reading something with certain expectations. I loved the drawings and the style but the storyline just got to me, and not in a good way.
