A wonderful little collection of memories of Philadelphia comedian and radio personality, Big Daddy Graham's father. An exercise we should all do with our parents I think.
My dad and I use to listen to Big Daddy Graham's radio show on our way home from working nights or going night fishing. My father then gave me this book on what would be the last Christmas before he died. This book is not a great book of literature or some life changing novel--it's something more. It's a glimpse into Big Daddy Grahams life diving into another persons reality. It's a glimpse into a time period and into life in Philadelphia. Think of it as sitting at a bar and having Big Daddy Graham sitting next to you just spouting out random memories of his father--you're drawn in. Now it's been over a year since my father passed away and I see this book sitting on my bookshelf and I miss him so. I've started keeping my own journal with glimpses just like this one in fear the memories will fade away. I recommend for any one who has ever lost a parent or a love one and to any one who is a fan of the radio personality/stand up comedian Big Daddy Graham.
