At this juncture, I now realize the Holy Spirit was quickening my soul to be dissatisfied with Islam.”

The thrilling and alarming true story of an Iranian Moslem who converted to Christianity, was forced to flee her home, and continued true to her calling through twenty years of trials and opportunities in Western Europe and the United States of America.

“‘Joy, sorrow, wife, children and all of life are to be treasured as long as they do not trespass Islam and adherence to the sharia.’ (the rules and laws of Islam).” Nevisa’s father

Nevisa comes off as honest, straight-forward and incredible naïve, as appropriate for the protected daughter of rich, influential parents anywhere in the world.

“It thin dawned on me that I had done something that was forbidden unless one’s life was at risk. I had stopped my prayers before they were complete.”

Needed another editing. Croft, who should be held responsible for the book’s literary shortcomings, should have invested in a bushel of commas. The Chapter One “Prologue” is a mistake. It robs the work of immediacy and suspense. Recommend readers read it last.

“None of us knows if we are truly forgiven and blessed by Allah. It is written that provided we are obedient to the Sharia, it is possible that Allah might have mercy upon us. We don’t even know where we will wind up in the afterlife. Besides, none of us have the right to question Allah and his Law,” Nevisa’s brother, “a teacher of Islamic law”

Helpful appendices on Islamic culture and Verses from the Koran.

“After your dismissal a read Don’t Keep Me Silent several times and was deeply touched by it. A battle with my intellect raged within me. However, I considered the miracles I had witnessed during your hospitalization and suddenly I began to see God in everything around me.” Dr. David, Nevisa’s physician.

Perspective: I have visited Saudi Arabia three times, including living there for two years in the 1980s (about the time she was in Iran converting) working daily with Saudi military personnel. My admittedly-outsider observations confirm Nevisa’s critique of Islam, though I also found as wide a variance of adherence to the tenets of Islam as among supposed Christians in the United States.

“In the Lord, trials often pave the way to great blessings. Just you wait and see that God has terrific plans for us.” Javid Nevisa, her husband

Mina Nevisa recounts her journey of miraculously finding Jesus as a young 17 year old in Iran, being raised in a devout Muslim family. She is forced to flee for her life. I was brought to tears as I read the many amazing stories of the Lord’s sovereignty, provision, protection, supernatural healing and power. He is a miracle-working God. Mina now lives in Washington, DC with her family and runs the Touch in Christ Ministries.

I really enjoy the genre that I refer to as "salvation biographies," and this is one of my very favorites. I don't want to ruin it for you, but it's the amazing story of a young Muslim woman in Iran who comes to faith in Jesus Christ. She begins to grow in her faith and finds a secret group of believers to encourage her.

However, she is soon promised by her father to be married to a young Muslim man. How will she keep her faith? What will her new husband do to her if he finds out? What if he exposed her faith to her own parents? What would she do?

Then, one night as she entered the meeting place of the secret believers, she...

Interesting. For me, a bit to heavy on the "Christianese".

This is not a book I would normally read, but a friend at church REALLY wanted me to read it. The story of the author’s conversion to Christianity and subsequent flight from Iraq were interesting, as were the years they settled in Spain and The Netherlands. Once they get to America, however, the book became monotonous and troublesome for me. Every time the author faces a health crisis, it isn’t ever just a health crisis...it’s Satan trying to stop her ministry. Self-aggrandize much? She becomes as radical in her Christianity as those she criticizes for their radical Islam.
The book also needed some serious editing.

Amazing story that touched my heart. I cried more than once reading this. More people need to learn the truth of Islam. Not a religion of peace as what Mina went through after conversion to Christianity shows. Any religion that is political in nature becomes a threat to those living under its influence. Islam did not become a threat; it was conceived a threat. Though I have researched Islam for a while now, I appreciated the human face Nevisa put on individual Muslims. We should understand they are trapped in darkness and need our prayers. I would have given this a five-star rating, but the editing left much to be desired.

I loved this book. Nothing is impossible for God. His love can penetrate even the highest walls and the thickest barriers we have around our hearts, as Mina experienced with her conversion from Islam. It was enlightening and inspiring, and reminded me that we serve a loving, amazing, miracle-working God!

Incredibly challenging, inspiring, eye opening accounts of God’s intervention, miracles, and work in the lives of those entrenched in and delivered from Islam’s grip. Maybe 4 stars, because of her first language not being English, but definitely 5 for content!

A thought-provoking autobiography about God relating to real people in real time. Intellectually and theologically stimulating. Jesus is alive and well.

This book is complete trash. Full of fake information and propaganda. I should've bought the hardcover version to use in the toilet instead of a toilet paper.

This book was very informative regarding the life of a Muslin woman. It made me count my blessings being born in the USA.

The only reason this book didn't get 5 stars is because it could use some more editing. This isn't a book I chose for myself; it was given to me. However, once I started reading Mina's riveting story, I was hooked. She gives an honest look at Islam through the eyes of someone who was raised a Muslim and was forced to flee her homeland when she came to faith in Christ. An addendum entitled, "Insights into Islam's Deceptions" gave helpful comparisons of Islam to Christianity.

this isn't the kind of book I would normally pick up to read, but it was one of our book-club choices.
The story of her conversion and flight to Europe and America is quite interesting. It is encouraging to see that people in Muslim countries are discovering Christ. While I would not agree with some of her theology I cannot deny that Mina's life has been deeply touched and transfigured by God.

This was a very interesting and enlightening book. I loved learning more about the culture of Iran and the Muslim religion. It was refreshing to hear it from a person who loved her country but hated what the Muslim faith had done to her country. Loved the testimony of how Christ worked in her life and through her, thousands of lives.

Miracle of Miracles is the amazing story of "a Muslim Woman's conversion to Christ and flight from the perils of Islam." I cannot do it justice here. For those who want to know more about the religion of Islam and the claims of Christ, this book, including the addendum, is powerful.

I would not recommend this book because I thought it was very anti-Islam and was unbelievable (though it was based on a true story) insofar as there were too many so-called “miracles” of life/death and Christian conversions for me to judge believable.

There are so many perils and miracles in the life of this woman, it's quite overwhelming. Truly she walks with God. The strength of her faith and her missionary lifestyle, along with her husband's commitment, is above what can be imagined. Mina Nevisa provides a powerful testimony.

This book helps clarify Islam. Coming from someone born and raised a Muslim it was exciting to hear how God is reaching out to those caught in this religion to free them from the superstitions and laws that bind them.

I really liked this book, but it bothered me that there were quite a few spelling and grammatical errors. I guess this can happen easily if English is your fourth language... :)

What an amazing testimony. Not only the author's story, but also those unnamed Christians who risk their lives to help others escape a country where apostasy (among many things) is a death sentence.
