I was particularly interested in Singlaub's account of the 1976 Panmunjom Ax Murders, so as I was reading this book I was focused on that chapter. Overall, the book was a good read, especially if you are interested in military history from World War II to the 1980s.

Excellent book detailing both Kinetic & Cold War history from the viewpoint of a Special Forces operator, command officer and Major General during his military career spanning WWII to 1977 as Chief of Staff of U.S. Forces in South Korea. John K. Singlaub was a true American Patriot who best represents honor & duty in fighting Communist aggression during his many years of duty to America!

Confirmed my gut feelings of many of the individuals he had personal contact with. Especially Jimmy Carter.
