Kid Bytes: A little red schoolhouse@ a psychotherapy center

Rate this book
Dr. K and her godmother, Ann, have come up with a companion piece for all parents and teachers. A Little Red Schoolhouse exposes that the same-old, same-old chatter about ADHD, EDD, OCD, Aspergers, Sexual Abuse, Bi-polar, Autism really does matter. Oddly, the book was conceived during a reception after a "Living with Cancer; a Message of Hope" presentation by Fred Siverman, narrated by Anne Bancroft. During the informal chatter over designer coffee, Dr. K's ache to spread hope for sexually abused six-year-old Kelly and her classmates surfaced, then incubated when she began e-mailing her daily class notes to Ann half a country away. Dr. K's passion for teaching, spiced with her sense of fun, is fueled by the children's innate capacity for finding joy in their various afflictions. The evident affinity shared by the co-authors indicates Ann's retirement has been embellished with a newfound compassion.
