Reading for fun, did not finish. Humor for parts read was appreciated but layout of the comparisons (red X and green check) was not super effective for me.

The first 3 chapters of the book are dull, short and not very useful. The author worked as a full time pixel artist for a game company. Chapter 7 was a useful chapter for if people that were not exposed to art before. The tileset section was interesting but this book focuses too much on a tool, would be nice if the lectures would be tool agnostic.

Our four stars because a book is a tough medium to learn digital art. The content of the book is great and will definitely give you a foundation for pixel art.
