A lovely illustrated book which my granny bought me years ago, but which I didn’t get round to reading. The Queen’s death inspired me to read it, it was great to get a few facts about each monarch and some pictures.

I am the very first person to review this book on Goodreads. When I was in England, I bought a book about the kings and queens of England, but it was lost in our move. I had been fascinated by the subject, and Bonnie found this book for me. It starts with the Anglo Saxon Kingdoms, when they were fighting off the Vikings. Then it goes through the different families, with illustrations and different stories about them. It seemed to be very factual, and it didn't dwell on the bizarre.

I love history, I love British history, I don't need tooooo much information, so this book was perfect. I enjoyed reading it and now use it for reference.
