Eden Foster is a control freak. She owns her own graphic arts studio and deals with some of the biggest names in the music business. None of that's ever fazed her. So why is she thrown completely off-kilter when she meets to-die-for lead singer Shane Tolan? Shane recognizes a spark in Eden he's not felt in a long time and he'd love nothing more than to prove to her how sexy giving up control can be. But after a hot and heavy interlude is photographed by the paparazzi, he has a whole new set of troubles to deal with. Namely, showing Eden that sometimes, in order to get what you want, you have to give up what you need.
This is a very sexy novella with extremely sweet characters. I liked Shane and Eden from get the beginning. Eden is an extreme control freak. Her life revolves around the business that she has worked hard to build and maintain. When she sees rocker Shane Tolen at her friend’s birthday she is at odds with herself. Does she approach the male she has been crushing on for a while or does she go after a cover design contract that she wants with his band. Shane takes all her control away from her and makes her spend time with the man that he is, not his rock star persona. The passionate hide and seek encounter worked so well with this couple. With the length of a novella sometimes the sexual situations feel rushed. Daniel’s worked this couple onto the scorching hot balcony scene so smoothly. Nothing with the pace of the romance felt rushed.
The last person graphic artist Eden Foster expected to see at her best friend’s birthday party is Shane Tolan, lead singer and front man of Blackguard. The sinfully gorgeous bad boy rocker stirs Eden’s blood in ways she’s never before known. The desire he ignites in her almost being enough to make her forget how much she wants to design his band’s next CD cover. Eden’s plans to court Shane for business turn to pure pleasure when a sexy game of hide and seek leads to her being tied up on a balcony, prisoner to Shane’s sensual demands. But passion comes with a price when the paparazzi catch the duo’s erotic encounter on camera. Will Eden’s fear of her professional reputation sinking end her and Shane’s newfound relationship before it has a chance to really begin?
Sex, art, and rock ‘n roll are a heady mix in the delightful Chasing Eden. Kristin Daniels creates a pure rock star fantasy in Shane. He’s sensual to the max, but also incredibly sweet. How can you not fall for a bad boy who is unquestionably devoted to the woman of his dreams? As for Eden, she’s intelligent, likeable, and good at what she does. In other words, she’s a heroine you have to respect. Because I liked her, I definitely felt for her when her decision to follow her heart threatened all that she had worked to build.
Chasing Eden is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Daniels, but it definitely won’t be the last. Ms. Daniels blends eroticism and fun perfectly, making Chasing Eden a deliciously wicked treat.
This is such a short book, a novella I presume but at the same time it's absolutely sweet, romantic and amazing. When the hero finally finds the love of his life, he won't stop until he has her. When the heroine went up to him and kissed him like no other woman has eight years ago, he never stopped thinking about her. When she walked back into the heroes life, he was shocked and amazed. Now he is going to chase her down and unleash her wild side.
