Cool as f*ck.
Goes straight in introducing the power system, introducing the characters and the plot point for the whole overarching story.

WARNING MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

I've read this book once. This book was a graphic novel. I decided to read it randomly by picking it up and reading the back, it looked good so it issued it from the library. I liked the book because it had cool magic and action and it was very strange and interesting. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this book. I would recommend this book to people who like manga (Japanese graphic novels).

For a book about a subject as big as sorcery, the entire first book had villains that consisted of animated and cursed dolls.

That being said, that's my only downer to the book. It's hard to hate a story about a gangster bear who can zero-space a chainsaw from his back.

A cute start to a new series, I appreciate that the main character isn't completely sure of himself. Good art, fun concept, and interesting execution. I'd recommend it to anyone who has an interest in this sort of material, especially those who liked Shaman King.

It wasn't bad, I just have little interest in angry stuffed animals. It feels old and boring.

This graphic novel has awesome magic coupled with lots of action. It's a manga that gets right into the story, a story with sorcery and other associated elements. The awesome drawings make the key individuals seem lifelike, almost real. Since it is meant to be read by the young, the reader finds the main character is a child who has doubts about who he is. The author must have done a fine job appealing to his audience because the series continues through the seventh novel with a 3.9 average rating. Each novel features this wonderfully delightful artwork.
