Cumberpatch Cove is gearing up for Halloween, and so is the Spencer family. When a tarot reading leads to a bubbling cauldron and a suspicious death, Rylee ends up with a new ghost and a murder to solve.

Hiding her spirit-seeing ability from a town filled with paranormal enthusiasts is difficult. Keeping the information from the town’s detective proves even more challenging now that they’re dating. Especially when Rylee’s the one who finds the victim in his latest case.

Can Rylee and her friends prove that creaking doors and unexplained footsteps are linked to the killer, or will her newest ghostly entity end up haunting her home forever?

"Cauldrons and Corpses" by Nola Robertson tells of a story that takes place near Halloween time in Cumberpatch, Maine.
It is told through first person point of view and main character Rylee Spencer . This is a good addition to the series and look forward to reading more. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but the underlying story line is progressive and best if read in order.

Good story line, easy to like characters, engaging dialogue. Written as a 1st person, single pov with a completed mystery ending.

Oh this was a little sad in some ways but also quite romantic at the end. I did think Rylee and Barley were going to have a new permanent member of their family and I was looking forward to some shenanigans. The haunted house sounded fabulous. Well written, interesting plot full of mystery and twists. Wonderful characters and this town sounds both spooky and magical, somewhere I'd love to visit but definitely not end up as a ghost needing my murder solved. Grams is such a curious person but full of love for her granddaughter. I'm finding this series gripping, fun and so easy to read.

In Cumberpatch Cove, Halloween can't just be a normal holiday. For Rylee, her secret of speaking with spirits comes in handy when there's a new murder in town. As Detective Logan searches for the killer, she must find a way to help him find who killed Evelyn. Excited for the next book.

Halloween is a great holiday to center a book around. Holidays always add an unexpected twist . There are lots of twists and turns but some drama thrown in. There is mystery and suspense. This is a good whodunit with interesting and entertaining characters. That also intrigue and whimsy. Fun book to read.

Rylee and Grams find Evelyn’s body, but Rylee hesitates to let Logan know about her special ability, even though it would be helpful to the case. I loved the humorous interactions with Evelyn, who had liked having the ashes of her husband nearby, and the great descriptions of Evelyn’s outfits.

This is one sad Halloween. Grams bestie is dead and Rylee has to figure it out or be haunted forever. This is a really fun series and it just keeps getting better with each book! I’m really looking forward to reading the next one!

It’d been quite a while since I read in this series, and it was great getting back to it. I’d actually started this book at one point but don’t remember why I never got any farther. Names sounded familiar but I obviously hadn’t finished it since I didn’t remember the perp, lol. I totally thought it’d be someone else. Hopefully it won't take me three years to get to the next book!

Awesome

I've really enjoyed the three books in this series and looking forward to another one. Pirates, ghost and a murder mystery, full of excitement and a close net community. A fun read.

My favourite so far.

So good 👍. My favorite in series so far. Characters are warm, exciting and eccentric. Rylee is letting more of her friends and family in on the secret that she can see ghosts. Plot was interesting and had plenty of twists and surprises. Satisfying conclusion.

A cute cozy Halloween mystery. Only downfall was that the story dragged for most of the book and then rushed the ending.

Rylee can communicate with ghosts ever since she touched the soul seeker that her father gifted her for her birthday, but this was more like a curse than a blessing to her. Not many people knew about her gift except her grandmother and her besties. So how do you tell your crush about it without risking his think that you are either crazy or too creepy to date anymore? And it doesn't help when you keep meeting each other over dead bodies either.

A visit to Cumberpatch Cove is always fun and I love Rylee's besties, Jade and Shawna who so wishes that they had her gift while she so wishes that she did not! Grams is always up to mischief and makes me laugh. Great series, love the books!
