Grace Dacanay-Chong as a little girl loved listening to stories told by her grandmother. At age five, she began writing short stories. After 20 years of doing TV/radio commercials and print ads as Creative Director/Executive Vice-President in a multinational advertising agency, she decided to write full time. Today, she has written over 20 books. Three of her children's books have won first prize in the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, and one was nominated in the National Book Awards.
I have found the kiddie book series that I wanna collect. Aside from this series' protagonist having may nephew's moniker (Mateo), this embodies the values that I wanna to impart with him - sharing of your blessings and thinking outside the box :)
