Until now, schools have taught World War II from a largely European perspective. As post-war Britain has a widely diverse ethnic population it is important that children (11 + years) of ethnic origin know that their grandparents and others played an important role in the defence of Great Britain. Each page of this striking book is packed with information that young people - or anyone else - will find both exciting and informative.
