All the men discussed in this book, the philosophers of complexity as I shall call them, are concerned with with the same world - our world - and have much to say to each other and to us. To get to this point, however, we must first turn to some of those simple views that have so embittered many modern philosophers that they are unable to communicate with each other because of all their fury and preoccupation with the past.
