A collection of sermons about the (bird) characters belonging to the First Birderian Church of Wington, aimed at stimulating the interest of young people in the worship services of the church.
This was a wonderful book to read with my children. Every story has a moral appropriate for us all, but especially for my 4, 7, and 10 year olds. The book is about the birds of Wington, most of whom attend the First Birdarian Church. The children really enjoyed the stories. Only small thing would be a desire for more pictures on their part. Highly recommended night time reading! There are some denominational overtones, but we used that as teaching moments.
I can't say enough good things about this little gem. It was a book handed down from generation to generation starting with my grandfather who was a minister for 38 yrs. I used it as a devotional and bonding time for my three children who are all adults now and have fond and loving memories of this book. A lot of life lessons learned at such tender ages. That time in our lives was both precious and priceless. I can't wait for my grandchildren to hear the stories! :)
