This work advocates balance in all things: diet, attitude and lifestyle; exercise, style and priorities. The book works from the outside in, offering a sane plan for clutter-free, eco-friendly graceful living. It then moves onto creating harmonious relationships and a happy working life: achieving natural health, vitality and good looks, and finally internal harmony.
A beautiful book about living and surrounding yourself with natural products and a natural lifestyle. It also includes a section about work and organizing yourself affectively. I love the small section entitled a weekend cleanse about resting, we balancing life, and detoxing over the weekend. It talks about making space for that weekend, performing beauty treatments on yourself, drinking lots of water, stretching, making and drinking natural teas, taking hot baths, lighting candles, burning essential oils, taking a brisk walk, reading, working on crafts, daydreaming, enjoying simple foods, turning off the phone and just enjoying your body and life in a natural way.
A constant on my bedside table it is a nice book just to pick up when you're a bit stressed or run down. It gives great health and wellbeing tips, including stress busters, diet, exercise, yoga etc. and is holistic in its approach.
You can tell I was reading a book that is out of date. Although there is still some good information in it and I love the natural alternatives, skin, and body care, some of the recommendations and studies are not legitimate anymore.
