I watched the Bleach anime nearly 2 years ago and I was immediately hooked! When I finished the anime we still didn’t know that they were going to adapt the last arc of the manga, so I just went ahead and read it. But I needed more, and that’s where this book comes in! It’s this sort of supplemental read with a lot of information on the characters and other fun little things. Suffice to say, I loved it!

One of my favorite things about the anime were the scenes at the end of the episode called The Illustrated Guide to Soul Reapers where they basically showed what they did in their everyday life. Things got silly and I loved it! This book has all those scenes and more! They’re the Illustrated Manuscript of Daily Idleness, and they are in color! They are literally just fluff, but I love that! One of my favorite ones is where The Society of Female Soul Reapers are trying to get a picture of Byakuya and instead of saying “cheese,” Nemu says butter 😂 (or you can see the clip from the anime here!)

Another of my favorites is when Yachiru is riding around on her scooter... inside of Byakuya’s house! 😂 Poor guy, The Society of Female Soul Reapers are always bugging him and holding their meetings in his house without his knowledge. It’s so funny!

Then there’s the Thirteen Court Guard Squads complete guide, which has a bunch of interesting information on all the captains, lieutenants, and other reapers of the squads. I just loved learning more about them! For example, I love Renji! He is my absolute favorite, so I really liked learning about all these fun facts. Like the fact that Renji wears the bandana around his head because he loves goggles, but all of his goggles are broken so he wears the bandana in their place... Weird, but okay 😂 I mean, I did always wonder about the bandana. Lol.

Another thing I found interesting was that besties Jushiro and Shunsui were the first two graduates to reach the level of captain. I can totally see that. And I also just want to mention how much I love their relationship. Lol. They’re just the best of friends and it’s great! And speaking of Jushiro, I love him! He is one of my favorite characters in the entire series! He is just very sweet, and under his character data it says that his special skill is making friends! 🥰🥰🥰 Omg stop! That is so cute! I love it! And another thing that is funny is that he is always offering Toshiro candy because I guess they look alike and their names are similar.

“An individual who personifies the Court Guards with his gentle and sincere personality. Whenever he sees his look-alike, Captain Hitsugaya, he offers him candy and refuses to take no for an answer.”

And speaking of Toshiro, Toshiro and Rangiku are one of my favorite duos! It’s really funny because Toshiro is captain and is a really hard worker, while Rangiku, the lieutenant is... not 😂 I’m sometimes surprised their squad runs as smoothly as it does. Lol.

This panel above is particularly funny because in their character data under hobbies, they both have listed “napping.” 😂

Another of my favorite duo is Kenpachi and Yachiru. I love how polar opposite they are, but honestly, I’m just wondering how their squad runs at all with these two in charge 😂 Two other reapers I like from this same squad are Ikkaku and Yumichika. Some interesting information I learned about them in this book is that they are both strong enough to be lieutenants themselves, but I guess they just really like their Squad 11 🤷‍♀️ I don’t know, I think that’s kinda sweet... even though this is the most violent of all squads 😂

Another fun section in this book was this sort of bulletin thing where the squads are recruiting new members. Basically, the captains and lieutenants write some messages to those potential new members and answer some questions. And also, members of other squads comment on squads that are not their own. They're all mostly positive, because the reapers are all mostly friends with each other, but one that really made me laugh was Kurotsuchi commenting on Squad 11 (Kenpachi and Yachiru’s squad)...

😂 Oh, and before I forget, I’d like to mention that Kurotsuchi’s hobbies and special skills include experimenting.... Yep. That tracks 😅

Towards the end of the book we have what is called the Soul Reaper Academy Entrance Exam. I was excited to take this! I love Bleach and the Soul Reapers and I was sure I was gonna do well on it. I got 50/100 😬 That’s literally and F! 🙈 I love the show but, man, I would not be a good Soul Reaper 😂

One of the last things in this book is an Aptitude Test that places you in one of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. When I took the test it placed me in Squad 6 with Byakuya and Renji. As I previously mentioned, I adore Renji, so yay! But I’m not gonna lie, I was hoping to get squad 13, which is Jushiro Ukitake’s squad (Rukia is also in this one!) This squad just seems so chill, and their captain is such a sweetheart, as I previously mentioned.

But yeah! I really loved this! It had a lot of fun information about the characters and a bunch of silly little stories. I am so glad I found this 🥰 I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Bleach as much as I do 🖤 And now I’ll leave you with an ad... because yeah, they had ads sprinkled throughout this and it was great!

Photo collections of Byakuya and Toshiro? Oh yeah, I’d buy the hell out of that! 😂

A fantastic addition to any Bleach fanatic's shelf. This wonderful book, in the shape of a "Special Edition Seireitei Bulletin" includes: seventy pages of full colour manga, character profiles (improved versions; far better than those found in the official character guide), a quiz to determine which squad of the Thirteen Court Guard Companies you would most fit in to (turns out I'd suit Squad 1), Soul Reaper Academy Exams and much more.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not only is it playful and funny, it is also informative. I would definitely recommend this to everyone, even those who are not fans; for you may become one after reading it! Worth every penny.

Hilarious! If you read Bleach because you can't get enough of the Soul Reaper captains and their assistants, then you will absolutely love this.

Color Bleach+: The Bleach Official Bootleg is a comical book that provides important facts and history of the Soul Reapers. You learn all sorts of fun tidbits about your favorite characters. From the strengths and abilities that make a captain so badass to their hobbies and food preferences - it's all in here! There's even an aptitude test to place you in one of the Thirteen Court Guard Companies! (I was placed in Sixth Company with my loverboys Byakuya and Renji! YES! Twue luve prevails!)

The first 72 pages are full-color, and they are the funniest parts of the book. My favorite moments involved the Society of Female Soul Reapers and their mission to obtain photos. It was silly, and had me laughing out loud. The humor is pretty darn witty. I especially loved the pestering of Byakuya because the clash between the silliness and his stone-cold demeanor gave him this perfectly delivered dry humor. I loved the part involving him, Yachiru, and the candy.

Some other favorite moments:

Also, there are many shameless plugs for video games only available in Japan (gunfunnit! *shakes fists*). Why? Why can't we get the games too?! To some, it may be an annoyance but I still found the blatant promotions entertaining.

This was a really interesting, fun read. A definite must-own for me!

This was a lot of fun. The full colored pages were cute with everyday life events, although not every character was included.

There was also a guide to all the companies, which is very helpful since there are a lot of characters in this manga and it's hard to remember all their names, ranks, zanpakutōs, etc..

Btw, according to the aptitude test given I belonged to the 12th Division, under Mayuri Kurotsuchi's command. The dude is as amusing as he is scary to me so I'm not so sure if I'd accept that.

I'd recommend this to people who really enjoy Bleach, otherwise you'll get really bored and waste your money.

i really love this book. it is the Seireitei Bulletin which squad 9 produces, mentioned here and there in the anime. i thoroughly enjoyed every second of reading it. as is usually the case with Bleach it is very funny and entertaining. i wish they would produce another Colour Bleach boo, id defo buy it! i've even resorted to making my own Seireitei Bulletin to make up for the fact.
id recommend this to anyone who is a hardcore Bleach fan and is on a strict budget, because this is extremely re-readable straight after you've read it.

Eeeeeeepppppp!! I LOVE Bleach, and I love anything having to do with bleach which is why In love this book! It gives us background information on the captains and lieutenants, their abilities, and characteristics! I personally like Captin Unohana and Renji the best, but that's just me!
And the comics were funny too. Like all the picture book things they would have at the end of the bleach episodes except they were on paper but I loves them too. My favorites were:

Ukitake's misfortune/
Who Will be the Next Victim?

I loved the one! I have no idea why Kiyone wanted a picture of Ukitake but I thought her and Soi Fon teaming up was odd but ingenious . The funniest part was when they pinned him to the tree and Kiyone kept saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Over and over again while taking his picture and then they just left him there.

The Real Yoruichi
This is why I love Yoruichi. Soi Fon totally fell for her trap and got an ass whopping. Yoruichi is just amazing and kick ass and awesome! ❤ The best part is the end when Yoruichi is beating up Soi Fon and she's like "you really think you can fool me! These eyes miss nothing! Ha Ha Ha!"

Operation Photograph Byakuya
This is one of my favorites and not just because I'm in love with Byakuya. I like it when Nemu kept saying "Butter" over and over while taking his picture and after her and Isane just tried to run and then the guards got them and the Bykakuya just went on attack mode. I kind if felt sorry for them in the end.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Bleach is awesome and if you want the basics on bleach you should read this.

I have two books out of the manga from Bleach but this one is my favorite so far. It's the most funny and most informative of the two i have.

The Bootleg has small colored stories (which have been used as the small clips at the end of Bleach anime's episodes) which are extremely funny. Especially the ones featuring small Yachiru running around at Byakuya's house!

It also has detailed info for all division and theirs captains. From thins they like, to ranking and power stats which is really cool to see where the characters are strong and where not. Of course this is before the whole Arrancar incident at the manga, which means there is a lot of information missing for the Bankai's or things we see later at the manga. Still, you get a pretty good idea who is the strongest and how they think.

And of course at the end there is the Divisions magazine, where captains and vice captains talk about what they expect from you by joining their division, personal comments, a quiz to see how good you know Bleach and at the end a test to see in which Division you should apply. I got Gin's division with the pranksters :P

In general is a good and funny addition for those who love the manga and are interested in the back story and to take a little more of the story with them.

If you like the Shinigami cup you'll like this. The color manga portion of which there is 66 pages is mostly antics surrounding the Captains and Vice-Captains and of course Ichigo. The section detailing the Captains and Vice-Captains and their companies has a lot of redundancy and deals with them up to the end of the Soul Society arc. If you have read Bleach SOULs. Official Character Bookthen you know most of the information or you may not really care what foods Kenpachi and others dislike. There is a quiz section and a guide to the role of Soul Reapers and some advertising of Soul Society products using the captains and their subordinates. All-in-all a nice fan book, but nothing to really get excited about.

Has some Shinigami Cup-ish comics and some character data too. I bought it back when I wanted to get back into Bleach, and it definitely helped me remember why the series is so special to me. It's impossible not to love Tite Kubo's characters and his weird sense of humor.

Half data book, half gag manga. Pretty good read for Bleach fans, especially as a refresher course on the series' massive cast so far.

It was fun to get a look into the lives of the Soul Reapers outside of the panels.
