This is the book that corresponds with the spoken-word, audio production - the first official release by Yusuf Islam since his departure from the music business in 1978. It is the biography of Prophet Muhammad's life and a remarkable product which does more than educate; it draws the listener into the story through Yusuf Islam's wonderful voice and the latest sound-effect technology. It includes many exquisite photographs. The audio products are available seperately. Ages 10 to Adult.
Now at the end I noticed that this book is from Cat Steven (a Greek that converted to Islam). Nevertheless this book is a good introduction to the 5 pillars of Islam and the life of the Last Prophet. I dont know if I should make my observations public for now before reading a bit more but the music included to the audio CD is fantastic form of superior art, I guess Cat Steven did his contribution here. The verses from Quran as well are mystical and magnetizing.
What an excellent and refreshing revisit to the Prophetic seerah. This short, concise, and beautifully engaging booklet is easy to read, well-written, well-referenced, relevant, accessible to adults and children alike, and offers succinct insight into the biography of god's last messenger to mankind. Definitely leaves you wanting more, so can be read as a stepping stone for reading more detailed seerah books. A must-have for every Muslim household.
This is a very short introduction to the life of Mohammed, believed to be the last prophet by Muslims. Although it doesn't go beyond the very basics, it is told in a very compelling manner. We learn how Mohammed was raised, how his life of prophethood went and how he passed away. I recommend it for anyone who wishes to learn about the prophet but lacks the time to devote to the more comprehensive biographies.
The Prophet (ﷺ), was asked: “Who are the best type of people?” He replied: “A person who is truthful in his speech and Makhmoom in his heart.” People asked: “We know what is truthful speech, but what is a Makhmoom heart?” The Prophet (ﷺ), responded saying: “It is a pure pious heart that does not have envy, evil or spite.” [Ibn Maajah]
