I read this book for the nostalgia factor, remembering Tom Wirth as a landscape architect on This Old House in the 80s. It is a well written, informative book that still mostly holds up today, at least for the average home landscaper.

The Victory Garden Landscape Guide by Thomas Wirth (Little, Brown 1984) (635.9). From the creators of “Crockett's Victory Garden,” here is a landscape guide for gardeners wishing to get the highest and best possible use of their personal gardening space. My rating: 7/10, finished 1987.
