Twin (brother and sister) and faeries must stop the clock tower from stealing more of people's dreams and hopes.

Zula and Mala Blackburn, twin brother and sister, have different personalities and goals. Mala has plans to become a lawyer, while Zula is unsure of what he wants to do for the rest of his life. Meanwhile, the faeries are trying to bond with the humans so their habitat doesn't get destroyed. On one faithful trip to the neighboring town, Durna, Zula, and Mala's dreams and hopes get snatched by the evil Chancellor Warsa's clock tower. It's up to the faeries to help bring back everyone's dreams and hopes.

This book is set in the fantasy village of Proska, where everyone gets along. That village sounded like a perfect utopia. Durna, the other town, was on the flip side. There were many fights, and some parts of the city were dangerous. The idea of faeries sounded cute.

Zula was an energetic character. It was funny that when the faeries were trying to get his attention, he did not pay attention and instead moved around. Mala is an intelligent girl. The faeries were fun and cute. Chancellor Warsa was an indifferent character.

The message of this book is to overcome your fear, teamwork is dream work, and always keep pursuing your dreams.
The book was fast to read. The ending was good and ended in a cliffhanger. There's a second book, after all.

Give this book to children who love a magical adventure with excellent characters.

Whimsical. Magical. Fun.

Nancy Drew meets Harry Potter in this wonderful, fairy-tale mystery.

The main characters—twins Zula and Mala—journey to find their stolen dreams. Along the way, they encounter numerous obstacles and other characters who add to their adventure.

The clock is ticking. Will they overcome their deepest fears and lose their dreams forever?

THE CLOCK TOWER by Sharon Hajj is a fun middle-grade book filled with magic and creativity. I think kids will really enjoy this story and I'm looking forward to see what comes next for these characters.
