Angela Cannings was charged with murder directly after she and her husband Terry lost their third infant in ten years. She was convicted because of a medical theory that came to be known as 'Meadow's Law', which stated that 'one sudden infant death is a tragedy, two is suspicious and three is murder until proved otherwise.' Angela spent almost two years in prison and, at one point, found herself beside Rose West. A fellow inmate scarred her with hot coffee. Angela began to lose all hope, but a cellmate, Rose, helped her refocus on what was important - being reunited with her husband and their daughter Jade. In 2004 she was released unconditionally. Cherished is the remarkable story of a woman who has shown real endurance under extraordinary circumstances.
I read this in one sitting. I just wanted to know exactly what happened and why. I thought it felt very realistic and heartbreaking. It just showed that the justice system isn't perfect and they are also quick to judge. She never got a fair chance, from the beginning they already though she killed all her children. I'm glad that it worked out well but the pain that the family had to go through must have been horrible. The book ended on a positive note but it had been a while since this was written. I did some research on the internet and found out some things. Which kind of saddens me that the family wasn't able to move on and deal with everything. A very good and realistic read.

What an incredible sad story. While reading this book the tears were running down my face quite regularly. The story is about a family who have to say goodbye to 3 of their infants way too early. On top of that the family then also has to deal with an unjust accusation, conviction, and jail sentence. This all has an lasting impact on all family members.
It’s sad to see how the family is faring nowadays and to see that they were unable to overcome all these things thrown at them..
I found the story written in quite a neutral tone, which allowed for a good understanding of the situation while also being able to grasp the struggles the author and her family had to deal with. The way it was written did make me want to get to the end and know how the family would overcome everything and hopefully be reunited.

I really enjoyed this book, it was very gut wrenching at times to read, it was eye opening how trust is put into different professional and they can turn on you and get things wrong g in a blink of an eye that can change peoples lives forever
Excellently written story of a mother's horrific journey through the legal system following the death of three of her children. It is a moving display of how some times the legal system gets things wrong and it's important not to let personal biases influence how a case is investigated. The story allowed the reader to see how the dynamics of the family changed throughout the four years following the death of their youngest, and after the mother was finally exonerated.
I didn't find this book. I think it was because the subject matter was a bit too heavy for me. It was very facinating though, and heart breaking. Poor lady. I really felt for her. She shouldn't of had to go through all that after losing her 3 children. From what i read it was a good book, but like i said, the subject was very heavy.
Sadest Story of a woman and her family who lose 3 babies to cot death and then is convicted of murer of her babies for life, but is eventually aquitted. Sad story of her struggle through this terrifying event
Aangrijpend en goed beschreven. Bedoel daarmee dat het niet alleen gaat over wat het voor haarzelf heeft betekend maar ook voor haar echtgenoot en dochter.
