An excellent and encouraging work written by Anglican divine AS Thelwall, a noted Calvinist and Evangelical who wrote prolifically in the early Victorian Era. He covers so much ground, but thankfully the tenor of this work is designed to encourage the reader. His responses to those suffering through doubts over their assurance are absolutely magnificent.
