Devotions for the Witch

Rate this book
Growing up in an Italian-American Roman Catholic home, the author longed for a prayer book like the missal she used as a child, dedicated to the virgin mother. That yearning created this prayer book, dedicated only to the goddesses known to the Italian world in ancient and in modern times.

I didn't begin publishing my work until I was fully retired - and 70 years old! Does that make me a "grandma moses" type? Maybe.

But I don't do cutsey.

I write spiritual poetry for the most part, and always with an eye to the Goddess, with a pagan viewpoint. I've also translated Leland's Aradia, and worked on other projects that you will find listed - eventually - on my profile.

I self-publish, in order to maintain 100% control over my material. So far, I've published 5 books, and one that is in revision. There are two more ready for the oven, and I'll be adding them as soon as my collaborators are finished with their portion of the work.

Having grown up in an Italian-American Roman Catholic home, I longed for a prayer book like the missal I used as a child, which was dedicated to the virgin mother. That yearning created this prayer book, dedicated only to the goddesses known to the Italian world in ancient and in modern times. In this book, you will find the simple prayers I wrote on the occasions of the births of each of my children, my own table grace and lullabies, in addition to historic works from ancient writers and newly-created pieces. A calendar is included, to inform the reader of the spiritual significance of each day, and its history. It is hoped that you will learn more about your favorite goddesses while discovering previously unknown deities who deserve your prayers. Here, also, you will find a Litany of Martyrs, those who were tortured and some who were murdered in the name of witchcraft or heresy, in Italy.
