A biography for children about Isabel Allende.
Though, with such an overt focus on her history with and interest in spirits, it makes for an odd work to be presented to children!

I have enjoyed reading stories by Isabel Allende, so I enjoyed this book. This is another great book to use in a classroom with Hispanic students considering Allende is one of the more famous Hispanic authors. I thought I might read this biography along with one of her actual short stories. This is also a great book to read in English to work on visualization.

This provides the reader with a delightful glimpse into the childhood and early adulthood of one of my favorite authors. Give us more school age books Isabel; the ones we have so far are wonderful!!!
