There was a strong tendency to assume the parent has a large supply of different textured fabrics to be cut out. Not in our household, I'm afraid. Also skews a bit older/more skillful than my kids.
The "Bunny Pops Out of Magician's Hat" card was very inspirational, though.
Me: What do you think Uncle J wants for Christmas?
4YO DS: He wants a hand that comes out of a box which can give him high-5s.
Me: ...
Me: Hey! I know how we can make that.
And we did. Best present ever!
