Inner Landscapes outlines a series of guided meditational journeys, each using a Major Arcana Trump card from the beautiful Servants of Light Tarot, and all linked by the central location of a stone circle which is reached by pathworking. After an introduction to the techniques and benefits of pathworklng the book guides the reader, chapter by chapter, card by card, into an integrated experience of the whole Major Arcana and a greater understanding of the Tarot. As each journey is completed, a figure from a Trump card takes form, so that by the end all the figures from the cards have materialized and the meaning of the cycle becomes clear. Ultimately, these pathworkings can be adopted as a yearly or two-yearly discipline, bringing deepened insights as each cycle is completed. Through these guided meditational journeys the Tarot reader - extend psychic abilities; - create a tranquil, secure retreat from outside stress; - enhance understanding of Tarot symbolism; - integrate new realisations into the whole of esoteric work.
Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki is a third-generation psychic who has worked with magic since childhood. She studied under the late W F.. Butler and with him was a founding member of the Servants of Light School of Occult Science, of which she is Director of Studies. She has written a number of successful books and co-designed the Servants of Light Tarot deck.
Originally written as a companion to the Servant of the Light Tarot deck, this book of pathworkings can be used with any Tarot that appeals to you.
The book consists of a series of 22 guided meditations (pathworkings) that will take you through the imagery and symbolism of the Major Arcana from the World card to the Fool. Along the way you will learn to build and interact with your own inner landscape while meeting the characters and powers portrayed in the Trumps. In this way, the imagery of the Tarot is personalized, internalized, and activated in the psyche and in one's life.
For those who are familiar with Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki, you will find the wit, humor, and wisdom that you are used to in great abundance here.
