Esta novela la lei para el grupo de la ONCE y bueno, a mí me dio un poco igual. Es exacta a la película que me gustó proporcionalmente mucho más. Tiene sus cosas estupendas y tiene la dignificación de la cocina y de las que están planificando, ideando y vertiendo amor en lo que hacen para alimentar a los demás, cosa impagable. Me siento muy identificada con esa protagonista que no podría soportar no poder alimentar a alguien.

Pero la novela me fastidió profundamente al final. Me pareció malo y sin lógica y si algo detesto es la falta de lógica. No solo porque se suicidara, cosa que vale, sino el motivo. Hombre, no me fastidies, suicidarse por ese garrulo de Pedro que era más tonto que pichote.

Pero entretenida.

Me gusto' mucho. Lei' este libro hace 15 an~os, pero au'n pienso en la historia del amor entre Tita y .... Pablo, Pedro? (No me acuerdo el nombre del chavo.) Fue un amor intenso, y la historia fue muy bien redactada. Tambie'n me gusto' la historia del doctor y su amor para Tita. !Y la mama'! !Que' horror! !Y la hermana, pobrecita!!! Todos los personajes capturaron mi atencion.

Tambie'n vi la peli'cula justo despue's que leer el libro. My hizo llorar ... la peli'cula fue muy bien hecho. Cuando pienso en los personajes ahora, los imagino como eran el la peli'cula.

I had to buy this book from my school library because it got water damaged on spring break. I had read the English version a couple of years ago. Me siento muy orgulloso porque es el libro mas largo que ya he leido en español! (I'm proud because it's the longest book I've read in Spanish so far!) A fantastic story of cooking and love lost and found, set during the Mexican revolution.
