This "atlas" of the crystal sphere containing the Forgotten Realms' planet (Toril) is very variable in its quality. Some editing errors and inconsistencies are present, and overall the sphere is a very hostile and dangerous place. This product is probably one of the key examples of needing a "disclaimer" as several of the NPCs and locations would never get published today; there are man-hating women and racist halflings, plus a mind flayer farm planet and several other oddities. Additionally there are overpowered monsters and plenty of ways for PCs to be killed, reminding the reader just how badly players were treated in 2nd edition compared to today. There are some interesting ideas here but I suspect most DMs would not use the content as-is.

One of the best SJ supplements. Tons of info and flavor on the space of the Realms, with good NPCs, new ships, and lots of stuff.

Fortunately, I'm starting my campaign on Toril, so having a great supplement be my core book is super helpful.
