A collection of more than one hundred poems about the many aspects of time includes works by Emily Dickinson, David McCord, D. H. Lawrence, and others on themes such as the beginning of the world, growing old, and the future. Reprint.
I skimmed through this book. Some great poems. Others didn't quite click with me. A nice celebration of time and life. But I couldn't find one that would work to read aloud in storytime. I would recommend this to those over 10, for some of these poems are much more symbolic or deeper than a younger child might grasp. I think many teens and adults would enjoy it--if they have a bend toward poetry.
