Alien Salute

THE CALL TO ARMS--
had come at last. The treachery of the Thraks on the planet Bythia had resulted in the death of Jack Storm's commanding officer, and in the loss of many a fledgling Knight.

Now, the Emperor of the Triad Throne had handed Jack command of the Knights and with it the responsibility of overcoming the invading Thraks. But the perils facing Jack were almost overwhelming. Bogie, the sentience within Jack's battle armor was fighting a life-and-death struggle, and it was Jack who might ultimately pay the price for the alien's survival. The Thraks themselves had learned new tactics of destruction to turn against the Knights, and even within the empire there were many intent on Jack's ruin.

Then, suddenly, a new player appeared in the games of conquest. A mysterious race from beyond the known worlds whose spaceships roved the starways, bringing annihilation to human and Thraks planets alike!

Alien Salute by Mr. Charles Ingrid cranks the cosmic stakes higher than a mountain ridge! In this fourth go-round of the Sand Wars saga, our favorite hard-luck soldier Jack Storm is done just running and hiding from bounty herds; he's finally taking the fight right back to those sneaky, planet-choking alien Thrakians. This time around, he gets mixed up in some heavy-duty space politics and grand fleet maneuvers that’ll make your head spin faster than a runaway windmill. Jack’s trying to patch together a proper rebellion to save what’s left of the galaxy, but dealing with fancy alien emperors and double-crossing human politicians turns out to be slicker and more dangerous than walking on a frozen pond in smooth-bottom boots. The absolute best part of this whole stew is that crazy, living battle suit of his is still causing a massive heap of trouble. It’s gotten so smart and pushy it’s practically backseat driving his whole life, and Jack has to fight tooth and nail just to keep his own human soul from being swallowed whole by the metal. The action in this chapter moves like a lightning strike, packed full of laser-blasting fleet battles, undercover spying, and a few wild twists that’ll leave you staring like a cow at a new gate. Old Ingrid delivers another pure, unadulterated 1980s pulp hootenanny that’ll have you itching to grab the next book before the woodstove even cools down!
