The book was actually good. Can recommend.

Some of my main takeaways:
- you can consciously switch between brain states
- you have to use emotion to secure things in your subconscious (I didn’t know about this)
- anchoring, peaceful place
- close your eyes and roll your eyes technique (it actually feels really good)
- you have to practice these things 100 times a day for a month (I didn’t know it was this hardcore. No wonder my past attempts didn’t work)

The biggest takeaway being the alpha state — now I have a name for this state I like to be in, and a methodology to get there reliably. Seriously, I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about this. all the hype around meditation and mindfulness and all that — it’s just your brain in the alpha/theta/delta state. No mysticism, no woo woo new age concepts, no magical words or affirmations, no Eastern philosophy. It’s just brain waves. They can be measured by machines. They aren’t special and they happen to everybody everyday. You sleep every night, right?

Also, now I know why a lot of people struggle with concentration and creativity— they don’t feel comfortable in the alpha state (it is kind of vulnerable) so they shut it off by going into beta on purpose. What a waste.

There was some wonky information around self esteem etc, but I got a lot of useful, new (to me) information and it was definitely worth my time. It was exactly the type of info I was looking for.
Can recommend.

Pernah baca dulu jaman smp, antara tahun 2005-2008
Awalnya iseng2 aja baca. Tp makin dibaca semakin tertarik.
