Now 25 years old, Adams' study on Paul's cosmology is still an important one. Adams lays the groundwork for backgrounds on Paul's use of "creation" ideas and terms, and he aptly demonstrates the ways that Paul's views of the "cosmos" are subtly different in his different letters. I especially appreciated Adams' reconstruction of the Roman situation near the end of the book, and the ways that Romans 12-13 can be situated into the occasion of the letter.
