Some helpful tips and need to know when running with your dog, but most of the book focused for dogs that will start running

As an owner of a hyper-active border collie (Winnie), and a runner myself, I found Barrera's book to offer honest and practical advice-- especially the through the suggested training plans. Winnie and I are now hitting the road to run 3 times a week and are both loving the exercise, as well as the bond it has created.

Well written but not much new information for me personally. I really did appreciate the week by week guide to building your dog up to running for 30 minutes. Outside of that it seemed most of the information was common sense.

2.5/3 stars. Short little guide, that makes me excited to run with Mia. Good information on the couch to 5K plan and leash options yet the book was a a little self-promotional. Generally I wish it included more research, less personal anecdotes, specifically on nutrition (when to feed before runs and information on supplements).
