Sickness gnaws at the land and at the tribe. The river runs black with corruption. Black Rindle, child of a forbidden union, has befriended a woman -- a human who can see him for what he is. Who, unlike his own kind, accepts his deformity. But will Black Rindle's tender feelings for this woman doom the Garou? This third book in the Predator & Prey series shifts back to the perspective of the World of Darkness' monsters, at the fringes of human awareness.
Definitely a side track from the first two books. Also, the slowest build up of the whole series and I almost put it down for good a couple of times. The best part is in the last 20 pages or so. Really leads into book four, though.
