At the Schloss Rutenberg seminary, a young woman’s education exceeds classroom boundaries. It is not only the high-born pupils who learn from the seminary’s corporeal punishments, but also their mistresses, who in many cases have more to learn than their students.
P.N. Dedeaux is Geoffrey Atheling Wagner (1927-2006), an English born American translator and writer of novels, essays and criticism.
He was born in the UK before becoming a US citizen. He lived most of his life in New York and was a Professor of English there. His PhD was gained at Columbia University where he taught. He also taught at University of Rochester and NYU as well as at the City College of New York.
Wagner was married to the figurative artist Colleen Browning, whom he met in Ischia and quickly married in the US (1949). She died in 2003 at the age of 85, Geoffrey dying a few years later. He was a good friend of John Glassco, who is known for his magnificent The English Governess.
Set in a German, 19th century seminary/boarding school for girls, this one revolves around the young women who reside there and the various and myriad forms of corporal punishment(spankings, canings, paddlings, etc.) that they endure. There's hardly any sex, just a lot of birchings, canings, and whippings applied to the girl's bottoms, in a variety of positions. Much fetishistic detail is given in describing the hardware that is used to restrain them when they are punished. One will also learn of such heretofore unknown whipping implements such as 'the pizzle', 'the Heidi', and 'the skinner'. Even though the recovery time from the punishments are incredibly unrealistic, I can't help thinking that these kinds of punishments were handed out in 19th century German schools. Highly recommended for fans of CP!
