Chronicles the life of the celebrated writer and social reformer who overcame the limitations of being both deaf and blind with the aid and encouragement of her teacher, Annie Sullivan.
I liked how the book started off as a question that would be an excellent hook to begin the story. I liked the photos that were used to show Helen growing up and finishing college. It showed how perseverant she was and how she didn't allow her disabilities getting in the way.
This is a very abbreviated story of Helen Keller. No Lexile Measure or grade levelling could be found on this version of the book. However it would be good to introduce the genre to first graders.
