Second time reading this book. They were in love. She a Governess and he a Heir to an Earldom. A tragedy tore them apart and when he was found the unfortunate circumstances left him with amnesia. He is now the Earl and engaged to a lady that had long been known to him. Unbeknown to him this lady had lied about their engagement and his stepmother is behind a plot, along with others, to destroy him.

Very interesting premise!
I loved this book! The writing was very good and the story very interesting and different than the usual. Very romantic.
