This is an informational book about Horses. It first defines what a horse is and as an illustration shows a diagram of a real-life horse and points and labels to each body part of a horse. It also shows the skeleton of a horse with labels as well. Over the course of the entire book, it shows multiple charts and diagrams with tiny facts about horse's teeth, different colors of horses, markings on a horses face, and the different types of movements that they have. This is a great informational book that goes into every detail possible about horses.

I enjoyed looking through this book because although I knew something about horses I was not aware that all of the little things about horses had names to them. For example, I did not know that the markings on the front of the horse's face and on their legs had names to them such as stripe, star, coronet, and sock. I also learned that every color of the horse has names to them such as bay, piebald, and dun. Almost all of the pages show double page spreads due to the diagrams and the illustrations used to inform the readers. It would often show what a real life horse looked like if the reader was standing looking forward which was interesting to look at. However, I thought that the table of contents could be revised as it was a bit confusing when the page numbers were above the text as children may be confused over which heading the page numbers belong to. Overall, I think this book did a great job informing the readers about horses.
