World of the Weird by Tracey Turner was an amazing and weird book. It was filled with excitement and it was really funny. It is great for kids and adult that like creepy, spooky, weird, and funny things this would be a match. This is Tracey's 4th book that she has written. It is not a series!

In the book my favorite article was The Fire-Fighting Dog. The reason they called it that is because this dog named Jackson survived through a fire. What he did was go into the bathroom, got in the bathtub, and put his nose into the drain to breathe in fresh smell and not the smoke. He sat there for 30 min. until the firemen got there. They were so shocked that the dog was still alive. Even since Jackson was inspiring for me.

POWER TO THE DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With excellent illustrations, colorful pages, and oodles of websites to consult after discovering your favorite oddities, this book is an excellent place to discover how weird our world truly is. Colorful format with each 2-page spread covering a weird thing like raining fish or levitation. A few examples of events are given and a weblink to further info about the topic. Upper elementary/middle school interest.
